Forget Everest, SAS Airlines is offering same-sex couples a chance to tie the knot up in the air among the clouds.

According to the website, the Love Is In The Air contest will take place on December 6, onboard SK903 and fly from Stockholm to New York. The lucky couple will be married in style as the Business class cabin will be turned into an exclusive wedding cabin. “During the flight, the couple will be in the air, which will be followed, just as tradition, with a wedding reception, including a full wedding menu, wedding cake and celebrations all the way to New York.”

In New York, the couple will be transferred by limousine to the one of Manhattan’s most luxurious and LGBT-friendly hotels, the W Hotel. On the same evening, a second wedding reception will be hosted o continue celebrate all the love, which is co-hosted by VisitSweden and the Stockholm Gay/Lesbian Network.

After three nights in New York, the newly weds will be flown off to Los Angeles and West Hollywood. West Hollywood has long been a leader in protecting and advocating for equal rights for the LGBT community. The lucky honeymoon couple will enjoy three nights at the fabulous Andaz West Hollywood as well as some of the best dining, nightlife and pampering West Hollywood has to offer.

Harry Abu braved the panel of judges on stage, revealing that he risk cutting ties with his family back home but went ahead with it for his boyfriend,

“I’m living a double life back home, My family doesn’t know I’m gay. I ended up at the X-Factor because my partner is pushing me to do this. But I’m going to give it everything I’ve got.”

The Melbourne Underground Film Festival (MUFF) announced that it will continue to screen LA Zombie, the gay zombie porn film despite having been refused classification by the Australian Classification Board.

The Bruce La Bruce which stars French porn actor Francois Sagat made headlines when it was refused classification and banned from the Melbourne International Film Festival for extreme graphic depictions of sexual situations including necrophilia.

MUFF Director Richard Wolstencroft, recently announced that his festival would host an illegal protest screening of the film in defiance of the banning as a ‘’public disobedience, freedom of speech event’’ that is “screening a perverted banned film and giving a big F-you to the censors”. He said he was also doing it in tribute to Bruce La Bruce who he sees as an important queer film maker.

An official statement from MUFF explains “MUFF wishes to publicly protest this ban [of LA Zombie], both as a show of support to Bruce LaBruce (a previous guest of the festival) and his film, which MUFF deems to be artistically significant, and also as a general stand against the often conservative and regressive decisions made by the Classification Board.

MUFF wishes to preserve artistic freedom, particularly for alternative or subversive cinema such as L.A. Zombie. The festival’s firm view is that adult audiences are capable of contextualising confronting cinema, and should have the right to see adult films.”

Wolstencroft says that if LA Zombie does end up getting pulled by the police or authorities, the festival will play something else that is fitting, though he warned that “it might be worse.”
