Sandra Bullock proves again why she’s Hollywood’s sweetheart. The best actress Oscar nominee may have got the critics’ approval for her performance in ‘The Blind Side’ but the committee at the Razzies feels she also deserves another kind of award, for worst actress.
The Razzies are traditionally held a day before the actual Academy Awards which ‘honours’ the worst of the worst in the film industry. Suffice to say, a star-studded event this is not.
But Sandy was a good enough sport to actually show up as promised to accept her Worst Actress trophy for her romantic flop ‘All About Steve’.
She also shared half of the Razzie with Bradley Cooper for Worst Screen Couple. Her co-star did not attend.
If Sandy wins the Oscar tomorrow it will make the first actress to win an Academy Award and a Razzie in one weekend.
Other ‘winners’ at the event were ‘Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen’ which earned three Razzies: for Worst Picture, Worst Director, and Worst Screenplay. The Jonas Brothers were collectively named Worst Actors for Jonas Brothers: The 3-D Concert Experience. Billy Ray Cyrus won Worst Supporting Actor for Hannah Montana: The Movie, while Sienna Miller took home Worst Supporting Actress for G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra.
